I thought the race was really well organized and everything went smoothly from my experience. To be fair, there are always little things that can be improved at any event, but nothing stood out as a major issue. Overall, it was easy to follow, well run, and I had a good time...

The updates were mostly fine, but I don’t know if I caught everything since some of the important details seemed kind of buried. I had to reread a few emails to feel like I understood what was going on, so it could’ve been clearer.

At one point, someone needed medical attention, and that’s when things started to feel a bit stressful. We looked around for help, but there just didn’t seem to be enough medics available. It took longer than I expected for someone to come over, and in that kind of situation, every minute feels even longer. I really think they need more medical staff on hand so people can feel safer and better taken care of

I ran the Hartford Marathon, the aid stations stood out in a really good way. I’ve done races before where the stops felt chaotic or hard to see, but these were spaced out nicely, easy to spot, and I never felt like I had to fight through a crowd to grab something.

The volunteers were great too. They were quick with water and sports drink, even when everyone coming through looked sweaty, tired, and a little out of it. It’s a simple thing, but based on past races I know how much it can affect the whole experience, and this made the day feel way less stressful. Big thanks to everyone out there helping...

The mileage seemed to be off by around a bit compared to what I was expecting. It just didn’t really match up for me

I just finished recently, so maybe I’m still riding the high a bit, but the finish line was awesome. Everything felt smooth, the energy was fun, and crossing it just felt really good.

The volunteers were, like, really nice and definitely tried to help when people had questions. It was just, you know, a bit confusing at times because some of them seemed kind of unsure about where to send everyone. Not a bad experience or anything, just a little messy here and there.

I ran this last fall and didn’t expect the course to be that pretty. The mix of city streets, river views, and all the trees with the leaves changing was kind of ridiculous in the best way. A few stretches were quiet, but in a really peaceful way. It definitely helped the miles feel a little easier.

I ran the Hartford Marathon and thought it was a really good value for the price. The course was solid, the support along the way was good, and the shirt and medal were nicer than I expected for the entry fee. It wasn’t flashy or over-the-top, but it was organized well and didn’t feel overpriced. My only regret is that I hesitated so much before signing up, because it ended up being totally worth it

Ran Hartford and, the crowd support kind of saved me. I was expecting a few quiet stretches where I’d just be stuck in my own head suffering, but people were out there cheering almost the whole way. Funny signs, kids going all-in on high fives, random strangers yelling my name because it was on my bib, like, thank you, because I was absolutely not feeling heroic at that point.

Those rough miles still hurt, obviously, because running is rude like that, but the energy made it feel way less lonely. The whole race day vibe was just really solid, and even though I was definitely questioning my life choices mid-race, I’d do it again.

The race itself was fine, but I was let down by the shirt. It looked decent at first, which made me think it would be better quality, but after just one wash it felt rough and the print already seems like it might start cracking. For what I paid, I expected something nicer, so it left me feeling a little misled.

I was impressed with the Hartford Marathon medal. It’s got a great weight to it, the design is super clean, and even the ribbon feels nicer than I expected. Definitely one of those medals I’ll actually want to hang up instead of tossing in a drawer forever.

I signed up for a Hartford Marathon event and then, of course, life happened and I had to cancel. So I went digging through the refund policy, and to be fair, it was easy enough to find and clearly explained.

But yeah... it felt a bit strict. I totally get that races take a lot of planning and money upfront, so it’s not like I expected a full refund or anything. Still, when something comes up and you can’t go, not getting much back kind of stings.
The deferral or transfer options are helpful, I guess, and the site itself was simple to use. I just wish the refund part felt a little more flexible and, I don’t know, a bit more understanding for people when plans suddenly change.

I thought the traffic control was handled really well. Everything felt organized and easy to follow, so you didn’t have to stress about where to go or what to do

My chip time was almost exactly the same as what my watch showed, which surprised me a bit. Results were posted really fast too. So fair warning to anyone who’s picky about timing accuracy, these folks seem to have it dialed in. No complaints from me.

I signed up for the Hartford Marathon the registration process was easy. Compared to a few other race signups I’ve done, the forms were clearer and the payment part didn’t give me any trouble. I did have to poke around for a minute to find one option I wanted, but it wasn’t a huge deal. The confirmation email came through right away too. Overall, a good experience — maybe not the absolute simplest setup, but definitely smoother than most.

Overall, I had a good time—the vibe at the race was really upbeat and fun. There were moments where I was like, okay, this is why people love these events. But then in a few spots it got super crowded and loud, and I kind of just wanted a little breathing room, you know? Still a solid experience, just maybe better if the flow of people was spread out a bit more

Packet pickup was frustrating. The line was way too long, the signs weren’t clear, and even though the staff seemed like they were trying to help, everything felt kind of unorganized. On top of that, the reminders leading up to it were a bit aggressive, which made the whole thing feel more stressful than it should’ve been before race day

i really liked how the course was set up. it had a nice mix of city streets and river views, and the turns kept things interesting without ever feeling confusing. overall, it just felt really well thought out.

so the parking was close, which was nice, but it filled up really fast. It worked out, but I wouldn’t count on getting a spot easily.
